1. Intellectual Property Rights: Copyright, Patent, Trademarks, Geographical Indications.
Intellectual property means the things which emanate from the exercise of the human brain. Intellectual property has no physical appearance; they exist only in the eyes of law. They are intangible and incorporeal (property in the immaterial form).
Intellectual property rights are given to the people who use their knowledge to create something with their brain like a new invention, scientific discoveries and literary works.
2. Trademarks: Features, Functions, Registration, Infringement
Trademark is a mark which is used in trade, to identify a product or service as having been made or provided by the owner of the Trademarks, and to distinguish the Trademarks owner’s products or services from the products or services of other traders.
Thus it helps in the distinction between the products so that the public can easily choose the products and services of the company who has got a good reputation.
3. Geographical Indications: Functions, Application, Registration, Infringement
Geographical Indication concerning goods means an indication which identifies goods as manufactured goods, natural goods or agricultural goods as originating from a specific place, city or a country. The characteristic of that good is having unique quality which is related to its place of origin. Some of the examples of Geographical origin are Paris Perfume, Nashik Grapes, and Lucknow Chicken etc.

The design of a product is an important intellectual property in the 21st century. It helps in distinguishing the product of 1 company from the other company’s product. So, various companies try their best to retain the originality of their product so that their product remains unique in the market.
